Fixie ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Fixie mobile app and the website at fixie.help (the "Service"). This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account info (email, password, optional name and profile picture) • Project customizations (dimensions, materials, finishes you select) • Photos and notes you attach to a build • Messages you send to support

Information we collect automatically

• Usage events (screens viewed, projects started, build steps completed) • Device info (OS, app version, screen size) • Diagnostics (crash reports and performance traces via Sentry) • Affiliate click events (when you tap an Amazon link, our affiliate tracking records that the click came from Fixie)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate cut lists, materials lists, and step-by-step instructions for your customized build • Save your project progress so you can pick up where you left off • Send you build reminders and product updates (you can opt out) • Improve the app — identify which features help first-time builders, and which don't • Earn affiliate commissions on Amazon purchases made through our links (this funds the app)

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on these processors to run the Service. Each handles only what it needs to do its job.

• Supabase — auth and database hosting • OpenAI — generates BOMs, cut lists, and assistant replies. Project parameters and photos you submit are sent to OpenAI for processing; we do not include personally identifying info beyond what's required. • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-X9SMH7GEF8) — aggregated usage analytics on the website. • Sentry — crash and error reporting. • Resend — transactional and newsletter email delivery. • Apple App Store — purchase and download events.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:

• With the processors listed above, strictly to deliver the Service • When required by law or legal process • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Fixie or our users • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (we'll notify you)

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute protection.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Project history, build progress, and analytics events are retained while they remain useful for improving the Service. You can delete your account at any time from the in-app profile screen, which removes your personal data from our active systems.

7. Your Rights

• Access and update your account info • Delete your account and associated data • Object to processing or request data portability • Withdraw consent for marketing email at any time (unsubscribe link in every newsletter)

8. Affiliate Disclosure

Fixie participates in the Amazon Associates affiliate program. When you tap a "buy materials" link in the app and complete a purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the app free for first-time builders.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Family-friendly projects are designed for kids to build with a parent or guardian who is the account holder. If you believe a child has given us personal data without parental consent, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. International Users

Fixie is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email.
